Objectives:
- Set up and implement (supported by BUAS) a monitoring framework for the existing policy (indicators, criteria) on the impact on balancing tourism and Community involvement and QOL.
- Set up and implement a framework for local stakeholder engagement in policy evaluation including open dialogue workshops.
- Evaluate internal and external initiatives (events, exhibitions).
- Develop recommendations and a draft of the new tourism policy including regenerative tourism aspects.
Expected results:
- Development of a new tourism policy which is the basis for further steps after project end (finalization & implementation new policy).
- Improvement of ReStart Compass component ‘Policy’.
- On the long term, a wide spread local regenerative tourism policies in NWE.
